As part of reforms aimed at strengthening the Quality Infrastructure (Accreditation & Standards & Metrology) in Tunisia to support the Tunisian economy in view to strengthen its partnership with the EU, and to meet the needs of industry and society, particularly in terms of consumer protection and promotion of industry and innovation, the National Metrology "ANM" was created under law No. 2008-12 of 11 February 2008 on metrology, in particular Article 15 (bis), and became operational on January 1, 2009. Thus ANM is an Institution that brings together all the components of metrology (legal metrology, industrial metrology and scientific metrology).
